PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Indonesia, along with PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia, a loyal customer of Mitsubishi Fuso, has launched the first electric truck in Indonesia, the Fuso eCanter, for distribution purposes at PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia. The event took place at the PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia office located in Soewarna Business Park Block A, Tangerang, Banten on November 13, 2024. This launch ceremony marks a historic moment for the Fuso eCanter as the first electric truck in Indonesia. PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia will operate the Fuso eCanter, which features an M-sized battery with a capacity of 83kWh, allowing it to travel up to 140km with a gross vehicle weight of 6 tons on a full charge. The Fuso eCanter will serve distribution routes from Jakarta to Cikarang and Karawang in West Java. During the inauguration, Daisuke Okamoto, President Director of PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, stated that this is an important milestone for the Fuso eCanter in Indonesia. He said, “PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia will demonstrate that green logistics can be implemented in Indonesia. We hope the eCanter can be a business solution for customers aiming for carbon neutrality.” Last year, PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia participated in a Proof of Concept (PoC) trial and provided positive feedback on the Fuso eCanter. The operation of the Fuso eCanter on Indonesian roads will not only reduce emissions but also inspire other companies committed to carbon neutrality to switch to environmentally friendly electric trucks, which offer the best efficiency and support the government's net zero emission policy by 2060. We are very proud to be one of the pioneers in adopting electric vehicles in Indonesia. PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia has taken significant steps by introducing the Fuso eCanter electric truck to all our regional branches, and the response has been positive. Today, some of our customers are here to witness our distribution activities using the eco-friendly Fuso eCanter. I am confident that incorporating the Fuso eCanter into our business chain is a smart investment for the company's sustainable future," said Tetsuya Aoyama, President Director of PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia. As part of our strong commitment to being a reliable business partner, KTB has provided specialized training for drivers and mechanics of the Fuso eCanter electric truck. This training ensures that customers can use the electric truck comfortably and safely. "We are dedicated to being your trusted business consultant, offering both technical support and maintenance to ensure that the eCanter contributes to your sustainable business success," concluded Daisuke Okamoto. To help customers achieve their carbon-neutral goals, Mitsubishi Fuso also offers full assistance to potential customers in creating an effective electric truck ecosystem, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and carbon emission calculations. KTB is also committed to providing the best after-sales service, including purchase warranties, free service, and financing options through Operating Lease (OPL).
