Tokopedia Expands Motor Vehicle Tax Payment Services To More Regions

Friday, 22 Nov 2024

Individuals with motor vehicles are required to pay the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), which includes the Mandatory Contribution for Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ), to validate their Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) annually. To facilitate this process, Tokopedia has broadened its online motor vehicle tax payment services to an increasing number of regions across Indonesia.

"People in various regions of Indonesia can now more easily pay their annual STNK from anywhere and at any time, even from home, through the online SIGNAL feature or E-Samsat on Tokopedia. In providing these features, Tokopedia collaborates with the government and other strategic partners. The digitalization of public services is crucial and must be pursued collectively to enhance the quality, efficiency, and transparency of public services in Indonesia," stated Rudy Dalimunthe, Director of Digital Goods at Tokopedia and TikTok E-commerce in Jakarta on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Rudy acknowledged that this expansion is a response to the positive interest from the public regarding the online motor vehicle tax payment feature, prompting Tokopedia to extend this service to more regions in Indonesia. Compared to 2022, the number of areas benefiting from the convenience of online motor vehicle tax payments on Tokopedia has nearly tripled in 2024.

The SIGNAL feature on the Tokopedia application and website is available to residents in several regions of Indonesia, including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jambi, Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung Islands, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, Jakarta, Central Java, West Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi. Meanwhile, the E-Samsat feature covers North Sumatra, Riau Islands, Banten, Yogyakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, North Maluku, and Maluku.
