PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) aims to achieve sales of up to 1,500 vehicles during the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2024, scheduled from November 22 to December 1, 2024, at ICE BSD, Tangerang. Irwan Kuncoro, the Director of Sales & Marketing Division at PT MMKSI, noted that the automotive market has experienced a decline this year, prompting the company to maximize sales through the GJAW 2024 exhibition. He further mentioned that at the GJAW 2023 event last year, Mitsubishi recorded sales of approximately 600 vehicles. Consequently, for GJAW 2024, Mitsubishi is targeting a twofold increase in vehicle sales. This ambition is supported by the relocation of the exhibition venue from last year's JCC Senayan in Jakarta to the larger ICE BSD City in Tangerang this year. Additionally, the timing of the event has shifted from previous years, moving from the first quarter to the fourth quarter, with the expectation of boosting automotive sales at the year's end. "We are aiming for double or more than last year's sales, so the target could be between 1,000 and 1,500 units," stated Irwan at ICE BSD Tangerang on Monday, November 25, 2024. The MMKSI booth at GJAW 2024 features eight display vehicles, including the Xpander, Xpander Cross, Xforce, and Pajero Sport. Additionally, the booth is equipped with seven test drive units for the Xpander, Xpander Cross, Xforce, and Pajero Sport. During this event, MMKSI is introducing the latest variant of the Mitsubishi Xforce, known as the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate with Diamond Sense (Ultimate DS), which complements the two previously introduced variants: the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate and the Mitsubishi Xforce Exceed. The launch of the new Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS incorporates 'Diamond Sense' technology, an advanced integrated safety assistance feature for drivers, offering more comprehensive capabilities than its predecessors. "In light of the decline in motor vehicle sales, we are striving to maximize our sales at this event," stated Irwan. According to Gaikindo data, Mitsubishi Motors recorded wholesale sales of 5,486 units in October 2024, reflecting a 5.8% decrease compared to September's 5,824 units. Furthermore, from January to October 2024, Mitsubishi reported total sales of 59,693 units, achieving a market share of 8.4%.
