Indonesia, through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Ditjen Hubud) of the Ministry of Transportation, actively participated in the 35th Asia/Pacific Air Navigation Planning and Implementation Regional Group (APANPIRG) held from November 25 to 27, 2024. This meeting brought together 163 delegates from 26 member countries, two administrative regions, and six international aviation organizations, including ICAO and IATA.

Led by the Director of Flight Navigation, Syamsu Rizal, the Indonesian delegation presented three significant documents: a working paper on the harmonization of global standards for the integration of unmanned aircraft, a joint working paper concerning the roadmap for Trajectory-Based Operations (TBO), and an information paper on the optimization of the Jakarta Metroplex airspace.

"Indonesia achieved an Effective Implementation (EI) score of 80.91%, significantly surpassing the Asia-Pacific regional average of 63.44%. This success is attributed to the collaboration between BASARNAS, BMKG, and AirNav Indonesia," stated Syamsu Rizal. This high score indicates the absence of deficiencies in the five air navigation services provided by Indonesia, fully complying with ICAO regulations.

Furthermore, Indonesia has officially joined the ICAO Flight Procedure Programme (FPP). "This participation will enhance our Flight Procedure capabilities and strengthen Indonesia's role in aviation safety," added Syamsu Rizal.

During the meeting, AirNav Indonesia signed a cooperation agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to collaborate on operational flight navigation. This initiative reinforces Indonesia's commitment to regional aviation safety and connectivity.

Syamsu Rizal emphasized, "Indonesia continues to demonstrate its active role in the Asia-Pacific region through various strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing flight safety and efficiency."
