Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Will Accommodate 658 Additional Flights During The Nataru Period

The Head of the Class I Main Airport Authority Office recorded a total of 658 extra flights to and from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which have been approved for the Nataru period as proposed by several airlines. Putu Eka Cahyadhi, the Head of KOBU Class I Main Region, stated that as of December 16, 2024, these 658 extra flights have been authorized for the period from December 18 to January 5, with routes to and from CGK. "There have been several additional extra flights approved over the 19-day period, totaling 658 flights. Today, there are 25 extra flights," Putu remarked during the Nataru Coordination Meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.  

In more detail, the airline with the highest number of extra flight requests is Garuda Indonesia, with 212 flights, followed by Citilink Indonesia with 138 flights, Super Air Jet with 34 flights, Batik Air with 44 flights, Lion Air with 18 flights, and Transnusa with 22 flights. Additionally, Pelita Air Service has requested 36 flights, AirAsia Indonesia 128 flights, BBN Airlines 2 flights, China Airlines 6 flights, and Scoot Pte 18 flights.  

Regarding domestic flight routes, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar is the most favored, accounting for 42.65% or 261 of the total extra flights. It is followed by Kualanamu Airport (KNO) and Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang (SRG), with 120 flights (19.61%) and 60 flights (9.8%), respectively, from the total extra flights. For international routes, flights to Singapore dominate, comprising 86.96% or 40 out of a total of 46 international extra flights.
