Scoot Airlines Has Officially Launched Its Service On The Singapore-Padang Route, With Flights Scheduled To Operate Up To Four Times A Week

PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE) has welcomed the inaugural flight of Scoot, a low-cost airline and a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), operating on the Singapore-Padang route. In the future, Scoot will utilize the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft for this service. 

The scheduled departure from Singapore's Changi International Airport (SIN) is set for 12:00 PM local time, arriving at Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) at 12:25 PM local time. The return flight from Padang to Singapore is scheduled for 1:00 PM local time. 

This route will operate twice a week, with plans to increase the frequency to four times a week starting January 10, 2025. 

An alternative departure schedule from Changi International Airport (SIN) is available at 4:55 PM local time, arriving at Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) at 5:20 PM local time. The return flight from Padang to Singapore is set for 5:55 PM local time. 

Previously, PT JAS Aero Engineering Services announced a significant advancement in enhancing aircraft maintenance and support services by introducing new capabilities for providing type certification services for Embraer aircraft, particularly the Embraer E190-E2. 

This initiative reinforces PT JAS Aero Engineering Services' position as a leading provider of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in Indonesia. The new capabilities are also part of PT JAS Aero Engineering Services' commitment to continuously support the operational needs of both domestic and international airlines in Indonesia.
