VinFast Introduces Minio Green, A Compact Electric Vehicle For Urban Environments

Wednesday, 12 Feb 2025

VinFast has officially launched a new electric vehicle, the Minio Green, characterized by its compact design. This environmentally friendly model is targeted primarily at the fleet market in Vietnam.

According to InsideEVs on February 10, 2025, the VinFast Minio Green features a distinctive and charming exterior, making it well-suited for urban environments. This new battery-powered vehicle will be positioned below the VF3, another compact electric vehicle.

The introduction of the VinFast Minio Green is anticipated to enhance transportation options in Vietnam, serving as an alternative to motorcycles.

In terms of performance, the Minio Green is equipped with an electric motor that delivers 26 horsepower, achieving a maximum speed of 85 km/h.

With its compact battery, this electric vehicle can cover a distance of 180 km and is compatible with both DC charging at 12 kW and AC charging at 3.3 kW.

Additionally, VinFast has unveiled three other new models: the Herio Green and Nerio Green, which are variants of the VF 5 and VF e34, respectively. Another electric vehicle, the Limo Green, is designed as a seven-seat option for public transportation.

However, it is important to note that VinFast has not yet officially announced the pricing for its latest electric vehicle models, including the Minio Green.

V-Green and eTreego are collaborating to establish a comprehensive charging station network for VinFast.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding, eTreego will supply charging station products for V-Green, specifically for VinFast vehicles across various Southeast Asian countries.

Through this partnership, they aim to construct 100,000 charging portals in VinFast's three primary markets in Southeast Asia—Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam—by the year 2030.

eTreego will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to secure designated locations and facilitate the introduction of potential partner sites within the V-Green charging station network.

Furthermore, both parties will promote additional environmentally friendly initiatives, including the development of a Carbon Credit Certification project for V-Green charging stations.
