Seventeen Makin Melokal At The Jakarta Concert: Discussing High Prices And Surprising Moments

Wednesday, 12 Feb 2025

The South Korean boy band Seventeen showcased a local touch during their first concert held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday evening, February 8, 2025.

The group, managed by PLEDIS Entertainment, was frequently heard speaking in Indonesian throughout the event.

"Where is the voice?" shouted The8 in Indonesian.

"Let’s have fun together," Seungkwan chimed in enthusiastically.

When it was Joshua's turn, he took a different approach by inquiring about the audience's feelings.

"How are you? How do you feel today?" he asked, eliciting a hysterical response from the fans.

Moreover, the members of Seventeen often expressed phrases such as 'I Love You', 'See You Again', and even 'Wow'.

Among all the moments, Wonwoo's use of Indonesian garnered the most attention.

This was particularly notable as Wonwoo reminisced about his trip to Yogyakarta a few years ago from the stage.

"We once traveled to Yogyakarta. It was an incredible memory. I feel like I want to travel again (vacation again in Indonesia)," Wonwoo shared in Korean.

He then recalled the Indonesian phrases he learned during that time, which occurred while he was shopping there.

Wonwoo and the other members attempted to bargain for items using Indonesian. This phrase was humorously repeated by the rapper during the concert last night.

"Expensive, expensive, expensive," Wonwoo said, causing the CARATs, the name for Seventeen's fans, to burst into laughter.

Seventeen's concert is set to continue today, Sunday, February 9, 2025. The group, known for their hit "Very Nice," is scheduled to perform for two consecutive days.
