Lucky Air Airlines Opens Flight Services On The Manado-China Route

Chinese airline, Lucky Air, has opened flight services from Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado to Kunming Changsui Airport China since Tuesday (2/18/2025). This was confirmed directly by the Director of Air Transportation of the Directorate General of Air Transportation Agustinus Hartono. Agustinus reported that the plane landed in Manado at 21.30 WITA and took off at 22.45 WITA.  

"There were 152 passengers onboard from Kunming and 3 passengers from Manado," he said in his statement, Wednesday (2/19/2025). Agustinus further said that the Chinese airline had obtained a permit for the Kunming-MDC (PP) route 3 times a week with an A23N aircraft. Lucky Air is not the only Chinese airline that has opened its flight services to Indonesia.  

However, previously there were several, namely Xiamen Airlines, China Eastern, and China Southern Airlines. Xiamen Airlines serves flights from China to Denpasar every day. China Eastern serves Denpasar to Shanghai every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and China Southern Airlines serves Guangzhou to Denpasar daily starting July 1, 2023.
