Indonesia Airlines Claims To Target 30 Countries As Initial Flight Routes

Indonesia Airlines, the newest premium airline, is ready to take to the skies and bring Indonesia's name to the international aviation stage. Unlike other Indonesian airlines, Indonesia Airlines will not serve domestic flights, instead focusing entirely on international routes. 

Founded by Calypte Holding Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company engaged in the renewable energy, agriculture, and aviation sectors, this airline has the ambition to become a major player in the global aviation industry. 

In his official statement, Indonesia Airlines CEO, Iskandar, said that this airline will operate from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, with plans to expand to various strategic countries. 

Citing various sources, Indonesia Airlines is targeting 48 cities in 30 countries in the first five years of its operations. The airline is planned to operate direct long-haul flights and transit routes, depending on market demand and fleet availability. 

While the full list has not been released, some of the destinations that are expected to make the list based on market analysis include: 

1. Asian Routes 

• Singapore - Changi International Airport 

• Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur International Airport 

• Japan - Narita International Airport (Tokyo), Kansai International Airport (Osaka) 

• South Korea - Incheon International Airport (Seoul) 

• Hong Kong - Hong Kong International Airport 

• China - Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou 

• United Arab Emirates - Dubai International Airport 

2. European Routes 

• United Kingdom - London Heathrow Airport 

• France - Charles de Gaulle Airport (Paris) 

• Germany - Frankfurt International Airport 

• Netherlands - Amsterdam Schiphol Airport 

• Italy - Rome Fiumicino Airport 

3. American Routes 

• United States - John F. Kennedy International Airport (New York), Los Angeles International Airport 

• Canada - Vancouver International Airport 

4. Australia & Oceania 

• Australia - Sydney, Melbourne 

• New Zealand - Auckland.
