D'Masiv To Perform At Music Festival Where Coldplay Emerged As A Big Band

Friday, 14 Mar 2025

D'Masiv got another chance to perform in the United States. According to the vocalist, Rian Ekky Pradipta, there was something different about the stage this time.

"This is quite different," said Rian Ekky Pradipta in the Petukangan area, Jakarta, Monday (10/3/2025).

Previously, D'Masiv performed in the United States for the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California in April 2023.

On the NAMM Show stage, D'Masiv carried a special mission to promote musical instruments made by Indonesian creative industry players.

"We were offered, do you want to play music from local Indonesian brands? Because for us the quality of local Indonesian brands is also not inferior, so without thinking twice we immediately said okay," explained Rian Ekky Pradipta at that time.

Meanwhile, for this opportunity, D'Masiv was trusted to perform at the Muse Expo on March 16. Rian Ekky Pradipta said that this stage was bigger than before.

"This year, we got a bigger stage. Around 250 world music industry players watched our performance," explained Rian Ekky Pradipta.

Muse Expo is not just any stage. Many great world musicians were born from the music festival.

"This is an annual event that has been held for 25 years. So this is the 25th year, and it has given birth to many world bands or musicians such as Katy Perry, Jessie J, Coldplay, The Temper Trap, Adele too," explained Rian Ekky Pradipta.

D'Masiv admitted that the big name of the Muse Expo stage was quite a burden on their mentality ahead of performing there in the next few days.

"It's quite nervous. That's why we practiced 4 times before leaving. That day's practice could last more than 10 hours," explained Rian Ekky Pradipta.

Memories of pioneering their careers from the music festival stage also immediately filled the heads of D'Masiv personnel ahead of performing at Muse Expo.

The preparation done by Rian Ekky Pradipta and his colleagues this time was more or less the same as when they tested their luck a few years ago.

"We were like flashbacks. We remembered the old days, when we were still participating in band festivals. Back then, we practiced strictly. From Monday to Friday we practiced, Saturday and Sunday we participated in festivals," recalled Rian Ekky Pradipta.
