The film "Mendadak Dangdut" produced by SinemArt Production House in collaboration with Amadeus Sinemagna presents the music video (MV) "Jablai" which is an iconic song, now packaged in a fresh way and sung by actress Anya Geraldine. The MV which is part of the soundtrack of the film Mendadak Dangdut features Anya Geraldine who plays Naya. In addition, the film which will be shown in Indonesian cinemas on April 30 has also shown a trailer or film clip. In the film clip shown at the press conference today, it shows Naya played by Anya as a pop singer who is enjoying popularity in a metropolitan city who is suddenly accused of being involved in the death of her assistant. The accusation also causes Naya along with Lola, Naya's sister (played by Lola Datau) and her father, Anwar (played by Joshua Pandelaki) who are potential witnesses to choose to run away from the incident, while trying to restore Anwar's memory. In the midst of her escape, Naya meets Keanu Angelo (playing Wawan) and Fajar Nugroho (playing Wendhoy) who intend to form a dangdut group. Naya, who was initially reluctant to join the group, finally has to survive and join the Pantura dangdut group. In the midst of her escape and disguise, Naya finally finds new meaning in music and life. The director, Monty Tiwa, revealed that the story of this film is related to cultural clashes that are very relevant in the lives of diverse Indonesian society. "We raise the theme of differences between generations, lifestyles, cities and villages to musical tastes. But what's important is that we want to convey a message about tolerance, how music can unite (a diverse society)," he said. This film wants to revive the spirit of being proud of dangdut music and invite the new generation to see dangdut from a fresher and more enjoyable perspective.
