Aion UT Prepares To Enter Indonesia, Here's The Leak

PT Aion Indomobil Distribution Indonesia (Aion Indonesia) is preparing to add ammunition to attack the electric car segment in Indonesia. Previously, the Chinese manufacturer had several models, such as the Aion Y Plus and Aion V and Hyptec HT. 

The new model candidate being prepared is the Aion UT. The certainty of the new model that will be presented in Indonesia came from Indomobil Group Director Andrew Nasuri when met in Guangzhou, China, Monday (5/21/2025). He also emphasized that this new model will be assembled locally. 

"Yes, we will bring the Aion UT to Indonesia, and immediately produce it locally," he answered briefly when asked about the opportunity for the Aion UT to enter Indonesia. 

For information, Aion Indonesia claims to have a newly built factory in the Cikampek area, West Java. This factory will produce all models that have been marketed domestically and new models that will come. 

Regarding the launch of the new Aion car candidate, the momentum of the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive exhibition seems to be used to introduce this new product. 

"We'll see later at GIIAS 2025," said AION Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Andry Ciu when met at the GAC R&D Center Guangzhou. 

Just for information, if the Aion UT is later released in Indonesia, it will face the BYD Dolphin or Wuling Cloud.
