The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 officially opened on July 18, 2024. As a game changer in the automotive industry, Hyundai has introduced various vehicle lines as a mobility solution for the people of Indonesia. Committed to developing the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, Hyundai launched the all-new KONA Electric powered by locally produced batteries at this year's GIIAS. Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, and Dr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, M.Si., Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, also visited the Hyundai booth located in Hall 10, Indonesia Convention Centre, BSD. During their visit to the Hyundai booth at GIIAS 2024, Ma’ruf Amin and Agus Gumiwang witnessed Hyundai's commitment to developing the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia and saw firsthand the variety of Hyundai EV products, including the all-new KONA Electric. Prof. Ma’ruf also had the opportunity to experience the interior comfort of the all-new KONA Electric, Hyundai's electric vehicle with the largest local components in Indonesia. Launched on July 17, 2024, the all-new KONA Electric uses batteries produced at HLI Green Power, Karawang. The presence of the all-new KONA Electric also reaffirms Hyundai's role as the automotive company with the most comprehensive EV supply chain in Indonesia.
