PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) showcased the Honda Civic Type R and Honda HR-V Mugen edition at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, from July 17-28, 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Tangerang. The addition of Mugen accessories to both products makes the appearance of the cars even sportier and more aggressive.

The Honda Civic Type R was displayed at the Honda booth with Mugen accessories on the exterior, including the Front Under Spoiler, Side Garnish, Rear Under Spoiler, Rear Wing, Sports Exhaust System, and Door Handle Protector. Meanwhile, the interior features a Sports Steering Wheel, Full Bucket Seat, Shift Knob, Carbon Center Console Panel, Inner Door Protector, Scuff Plate, and an exclusive Mugen emblem.

In addition to the Honda Civic Type R, the Honda Crossover Utility Vehicle model, the Honda HR-V, also appeared with a different look using Mugen accessories. The stylishly designed Honda flagship SUV now enhances its sporty impression with the addition of Mugen accessories on the exterior, including the Front Under Spoiler, Side Under Spoiler, Rear Under Spoiler, Front Grille Garnish, Wing Spoiler, Door Handle Protector, Door Mirror Cover, Sports Silencer, Side Decal, Rear Bumper Decal, and Mugen Emblem. Meanwhile, the interior uses Seat Cover, Scuff Plate, and Door Inner Protector to strengthen the sporty impression.

Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Operation Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, said, "We showcased Mugen accessories to demonstrate and emphasize that Honda products have a sporty image. This can be seen from both products that we showcased at GIIAS this time using Mugen accessories, where the appearance of the cars becomes more sporty and aggressive."

Honda, along with Mugen, recently unveiled the Mugen edition for the latest generation Honda Civic Type R and Honda HR-V in its first concept version at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 in January in Tokyo, Japan. Mugen itself was established in 1973 in Japan as a subsidiary of Honda, providing accessory packages and performance enhancements for various Honda cars.

The Honda Civic Type R has been closely associated with Mugen, as Honda has consistently introduced Mugen editions for the Civic Type R series FD2 up to the latest generation FL5. Meanwhile, for the Honda HR-V, or known as the Honda Vezel in Japan, Mugen editions have been introduced since the second generation and continue to the latest generation.
