Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) announced a strategic partnership with Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (Mitsubishi Motors) on August 2, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. The three companies signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly discuss further frameworks for electric vehicle technology based on the agreement signed by Honda and Nissan on March 15, 2024. Honda and Nissan are working to accelerate initiatives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality and a society without traffic accidents. To anticipate this, collaborations in various fields such as environmental technology, electrification technology, software development, and various discussions are being conducted on a broader scale. To expedite this process, creating new value by integrating technology and knowledge developed by each company to enhance business efficiency. Mitsubishi Motors' participation in the field, as well as the potential collaborations considered and discussed by Honda and Nissan, will not only add new knowledge and strength but also provide synergy and further new business opportunities by the three companies.
