Aviation safety is the foremost priority for all airlines, including Lion Group. Danang Mandala Prihantoro, the Corporate Communications Strategist of Lion Group, emphasizes that the safety and security of passengers and crew members are always of paramount concern, approached with meticulous attention to detail in every operational aspect of flight.

"Our primary focus is on aviation safety. The pre-flight check process is conducted comprehensively to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and crew," stated Danang Mandala Prihantoro during an exclusive interview with the media on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Lion Group implements a series of thorough preparatory steps to guarantee that flights operate safely and smoothly. This preparation consists of two phases of inspections and checks prior to the aircraft's departure.

The first phase occurs in Flight Operations (FLOPS). This stage includes checking the blood pressure and alcohol levels of the crew to ensure their physical and mental fitness is optimal. Following this, a briefing is conducted for the flight crew to communicate safety procedures, coordination, and essential information related to the flight.

Subsequently, document verification is performed to ensure the completeness and validity of flight documents. Additionally, preparations for fuel planning and the flight plan are made to calculate fuel requirements and plan the flight route, taking into account factors such as distance, weather, and aircraft weight. The final step of this initial phase involves the creation of a load sheet, which records the distribution of the aircraft's load to maintain balance and ensure that the aircraft is not overloaded.
