PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) has demonstrated a positive performance throughout 2024. InJourney Airports successfully recorded an increase in both passenger numbers and cargo volume across 37 airports during the year. Additionally, the beautification efforts undertaken at these airports have received commendation from various stakeholders. From January to December 2024, the total number of passenger movements at the 37 InJourney airports reached 155.9 million, comprising 118.03 million domestic passengers and 37.90 million international passengers. This figure represents an approximate 4 percent increase compared to the 150.1 million passengers recorded from January to December 2023. However, the number of aircraft movements decreased by 4 percent, from 1.21 million flights in 2023 to 1.16 million flights in 2024. The rise in passenger numbers amidst a decline in aircraft movements indicates that InJourney Airports, in collaboration with airlines, has effectively optimized flight slot times and maintained a high load factor. Faik Fahmi, the President Director of InJourney Airports, stated that the increase in passenger numbers is attributed to strong collaboration within the aviation ecosystem, which has helped sustain a positive trend in the post-pandemic flight market. "InJourney Airports served 155.9 million passengers in 2024, thanks to close cooperation with all parties involved. Our airports are committed to fostering market growth and enhancing air connectivity in Indonesia by opening new routes and increasing flight frequencies on existing routes. This collective effort aims to further strengthen the aviation sector's contribution to national economic and tourism growth," he remarked on Monday, January 13, 2025. According to Fahmi, the passenger numbers at all InJourney Airports reflect 90 percent of the total passenger count in Indonesia. In 2024, the InJourney airports facilitated approximately 200 flight routes, with a composition of 60 percent domestic routes and 40 percent international routes.
