Wings Air Opens Makassar-Selayar Route Flights On March 20, Check The Schedule

Wings Air opens flight route from Makassar City to Selayar Regency in South Sulawesi (Sulsel). The flight route opens access to hidden tourist destinations or hidden gems. 

The flight route from Makassar to Selayar and vice versa will be opened on March 20. Flight services operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 

"The flight schedule (Makassar-Selayar route) starts on March 20, 2025 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday," said Corporate Communications Strategic of Wings Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro in his statement, Sunday (3/16/2025). 

Wings Air is planning to open 3 new flight routes in eastern Indonesia. In addition to the Makassar-Selayar route, there is also a route from Makassar to Raha, Muna Island, Southeast Sulawesi, and a route from Makassar to Poso, Central Sulawesi. 

"Wings Air presents three new routes ready to connect Makassar with hidden gem destinations in Eastern Indonesia, directly from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG)," he said. 

Meanwhile, the Makassar-Muna Island flight opened on March 21, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Makassar-Poso flight route opened on March 22, operating every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 

"Why are they called hidden gems? Because the three routes open access to exotic destinations that have not been widely explored but hold extraordinary beauty," added Danang. 

Selayar offers the beauty of white sandy beaches and an underwater paradise that is said to rival the Maldives. Meanwhile, Raha presents the authentic cultural and historical charm of Muna Island, while Poso has the natural wonder of Lake Poso and a unique, strong culture.
