PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Airports said that almost all airlines have submitted extra flight operations during the 2025 Eid transportation. InJourney Airports Operations Director Wendo Asrul Rose said that up to now, there have been requests for extra flights from airlines totaling 2,284 flights at 37 InJourney Airports. However, around 116 flights have been approved by the Ministry of Transportation. "This data will continue to move. Almost all flight operators have submitted extra flights," said Wendo at Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Thursday (3/20/2025). Wendo explained that during the 2025 Eid transportation period, aircraft movements at 37 airports are predicted to reach 81,401 flights or increase by around 5%. "Operation plans have been prepared at all airports to ensure smooth airport operations.

The total number of personnel on standby at 37 airports reaches 17,175 personnel in the service and operational fields. All airports are also on standby to operate 24 hours by adjusting to requests from airlines." Furthermore, Wendo Asrul Rose said that the operation plan also includes adjustments and optimization of slot times at airports, namely the availability of aircraft take-off and landing times, airport operating hours and additional flight management.

Meanwhile, InJourney Airports projects the number of aircraft passengers to reach 10.8 million people at 37 airports managed by InJourney during the 2025 Eid transportation period. This figure is up 9% compared to the 2024 Eid transportation at 37 airports. Meanwhile, the peak projection for air transportation homecoming flow will occur on March 28, 2025, while the peak return flow will actually occur on April 7, 2025.
