AirNav Indonesia, officially known as Perum Lembaga Penyelenggara Pelayanan Navigasi Penerbangan Indonesia (LPPNPI), anticipates a 5% increase in aircraft movements during Eid al-Fitr 2025 compared to the same period last year. "The peak is expected to occur on March 26 for outbound travel, with the return peak on April 6," stated Avirianto Suratno, the President Director of AirNav Indonesia, at Pasar Senen Station on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. On H-7 of Eid, which falls on March 24, 2025, AirNav recorded a total of 4,516 daily movements across 60 airports for both domestic and international flights. The average daily traffic during the Eid transportation period is projected to be 4,095, comprising 2,253 departures and 2,263 arrivals. On H-7 of Eid 2025, aircraft movements showed an increase compared to the same period last year, which recorded 4,289 movements. The ten airports with the highest traffic include Kualanamu Airport with 160 flights, Pekanbaru Airport with 104 flights, and Soekarno-Hatta Airport with 1,054 flights. Additionally, Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport had 152 flights, Juanda Airport in Surabaya recorded 296 flights, Denpasar had 358 flights, Balikpapan saw 172 flights, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar had 235 flights. Avirianto emphasized that to monitor and ensure the safety and orderliness of air transportation activities during the 2025 Eid travel period, AirNav Indonesia will operate a 24-hour command post at 60 locations across its branch offices throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, operational staff will be available around the clock at several branches, aligning with airport operating hours. Previously, the Ministry of Transportation reported plans for 135 additional flights, including both domestic and international services, leading up to H-7 of Eid on March 24, 2025.
