The Presidential Aircraft, A Boeing 737, Has Successfully Made Its Inaugural Landing At Nusantara Airport

The Indonesian Presidential Aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 BBJ, successfully landed for the first time at Nusantara Airport, located in the new capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan Province, on Friday.

This announcement was made by the Acting Deputy Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Raja Juli Antoni, via his Instagram account @rajaantoni, as reported from Jakarta.

"Alhamdulillah, the Boeing 737 Presidential Aircraft has landed smoothly for the first time at Nusantara Airport," he stated.

Raja Juli further noted that all necessary airport facilities are being continuously developed by the relevant authorities to support the infrastructure needs for commercial aircraft.

It is hoped that in the future, all supplementary facilities will enable commercial aircraft to land at this airport, he stated.

President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo, along with their entourage, arrived at Nusantara Airport at approximately 10:00 WITA.

Welcoming the arrival of the President and Mrs. Iriana were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Also present to greet them were Acting Deputy Head of the OIKN Raja Juli Antoni, Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, Commander of the VI/Mulawarman Military Region Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, East Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Nanang Avianto, and Air Base Commander Colonel Pnb David Ali Hamzah.

At the IKN, President Jokowi inaugurated the operation of RS Hermina Nusantara while also inspecting the first healthcare facility in the IKN area.

"President Jokowi is also scheduled to attend the Kompas 100 CEO Forum 2024, which will be held for the first time at the Garuda Palace in the IKN area. Additionally, President Jokowi is expected to inaugurate the State Palace and Mayapada Hospital Nusantara," stated Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana in a written statement.
