Film "Lagu Cinta untuk Mama" (LCUM) commemorates a special occasion by hosting a special screening on Mother's Day, December 22, 2024. This event is organized as a tribute to the extraordinary journey of mothers, from pregnancy through childbirth. Peter Taslim, the Executive Producer and Writer of LCUM, expressed that mothers are the strongest and most loving figures who selflessly sacrifice everything for their children. Therefore, he felt it was essential to present something special on Mother's Day, coinciding with the film's release in theaters. "This film is crafted to honor mothers in Indonesia. The strongest beings are women, especially our mothers who fight for their lives from the moment of conception until delivery. A mother's love exists even before we are born," stated Peter Taslim. The film tells the story of a woman set against the backdrop of Balinese culture. In addition to showcasing the beauty of the traditions and landscapes of the Island of the Gods, LCUM conveys various positive messages through its narrative. The shooting process, which lasted for 15 days in Bali, faced several challenges, including obtaining location permits. The production team had to negotiate with local village leaders to secure filming permissions. Furthermore, one of the lead actors, Jenny Zhang, experienced an accident during the shooting. "In addition to the permit issues, one of our actors, Jenny Zhang, had an accident while filming this movie," Peter revealed. As a former national judo athlete, Peter acknowledged that this project provided him with a new experience. He approached his debut as Executive Producer and Screenwriter with enthusiasm, driven by his passion for the Indonesian film industry.
