Twenty-three Entertainment Stages Welcoming The New Year Are Spread Across Jakarta, Here Are The Locations

The DKI Jakarta provincial government will provide 23 entertainment stages to celebrate the New Year 2025 on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. This New Year's event is titled "Semarak Jakarta Mendunia."

Andhika Permata, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), explained that these 23 stages will be distributed across various locations in Jakarta. Of these, 20 stages will be managed by the provincial government, while the remaining three will be operated by private entities.

"Semarak Jakarta Mendunia will feature 23 stages in Jakarta, with three coming from the private sector, specifically from TMII, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, and City Vision, while 20 will be provided by the DKI Jakarta provincial government," Andhika stated to reporters at City Hall on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

He further noted that each entertainment stage will showcase music from a variety of genres.

"We will present all genres at the Semarak Jakarta Mendunia event. The genres will include reggae, campur sari, koplo, dangdut, karaoke sing-along, and more," Andhika added.

The lineup of performers will feature contemporary artists. The DKI Jakarta provincial government will present acts such as RAN, Yura Yunita, Indra Bekti, Endah N Rhesa, Ten2Five, Letto, Okky Lukman, and many others.

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi, mentioned that the main event will be centered at Bundaran HI. However, he noted that other locations will also offer appealing options for New Year's Eve celebrations in Jakarta.

"All these elements will provide various forms of entertainment. The festivities will not be limited to music; there will also be additional attractions. For instance, video mapping will take place at Patung Kuda, a drone show will be held around HI, and there will be fireworks as well," Teguh explained.
