To Celebrate The New Year's Eve, The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Is Organizing Entertainment Stages In Various Regions Of Jakarta

In celebration of the upcoming New Year 2025, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will host entertainment stages themed "Semarak Jakarta Mendunia" across each administrative region of Jakarta. 

These entertainment stages are scheduled to take place on the evening of the New Year’s transition, specifically on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. 

Andhika Permata, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, stated that the initiative aims to manage visitor density by organizing entertainment activities in each area. "At the city level, the goal is to disperse the crowd, hence entertainment events will also be held at the city and regency levels," Andhika remarked during a press conference at the Jakarta City Hall on Monday, December 23, 2024. 

He elaborated that in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and West Jakarta, the entertainment stages will be set up in the courtyards of the respective mayor's offices. 

In South Jakarta, the festivities will occur at the Betawi Cultural Village in Setu Babakan. "In East Jakarta, the entertainment will be hosted at Old Shanghai Sedayu City, while in the Thousand Islands, the main event will take place on Tidung Island," he added. 

Furthermore, he noted that the event on Tidung Island will be held in the afternoon rather than at night to mitigate weather concerns. 

"The performers will be equally prominent at the provincial level, featuring artists such as D'Bagindas, among others," he emphasized.  

As a point of information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is organizing 23 music concerts under the theme "Semarak Jakarta Mendunia" on the night of the New Year’s transition across various locations in Jakarta on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. 

"The New Year’s event is titled Semarak Jakarta Mendunia. Its philosophy is 'Welcoming 5 Centuries of Jakarta, the True Identity of the Archipelago, Paving the Way for a Global Megapolis,'" Andhika Permata stated at the Jakarta City Hall on the evening of December 23, 2024.
