Tuesday, 04 Mar 2025

PT Produksi Film Negara (Persero) or PFN once again presents a work that not only entertains, but also promotes the richness of Indonesian culture and the beauty of tourism, through the production of the film "Menuju Pelaminan".

The film "Menuju Pelaminan," a collaborative production of PFN with Rekam Film, Little Green White (Singapore), and One Light Holdings (Singapore), tells a unique story about the dynamics of wedding preparations between families from two different cultural backgrounds, Java and Minang.

Through the "Pitching Forum" program of Indonesia Film Financing (IFF) PFN, the film received support to shoot in Yogyakarta and Padang. This step allows "Menuju Pelaminan" to explore wedding traditions from both regions, while introducing the natural beauty and culture of Indonesia to the wider audience.

"We see great potential in this film. By showcasing the beauty of Yogyakarta and Padang, we hope to attract interest in these two regions in Indonesia," said IFF PFN Project Leader, Dirana Sofiah, in a press release in Jakarta, Saturday.

The film "Menuju Pelaminan" not only presents a family drama with a light sitcom nuance, but also highlights family values ??and cultural diversity. With the backdrop of the natural beauty and architecture of Yogyakarta and Padang, "Menuju Pelaminan" is expected to provide a stunning visual experience for the audience.

"We want this film to not only be entertainment, but also a window for the world to see the beauty and richness of Indonesian culture," added Dirana Sofiah.

The shooting of the film "Menuju Pelaminan" has begun since November 2024, and it is hoped that its screening will have a positive impact on the Indonesian tourism industry. PFN is committed to continuing to support the production of quality films that can promote Indonesia's tourism potential on the international stage.

Thus, "Menuju Pelaminan" is expected to be one of the films that contributes to advancing the Indonesian film and tourism industry.
