Raffi Ahmad Encourages Ambon Youth To Develop A Creative Ecosystem Similar To RANS Entertainment

Wednesday, 16 Apr 2025

Raffi Farid Ahmad, the Special Presidential Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers, made his third visit to Ambon on Sunday afternoon (April 13, 2025). The purpose of this visit was to directly hear the concerns and needs of young artists and creative industry professionals in Ambon, which he intends to relay to the relevant ministries and President Prabowo Subianto. "I want to understand the complaints or challenges faced by my friends in Ambon. I will communicate their needs to the ministries," Raffi stated during a dialogue with the creative community at Redbrick Café in Karang Panjang, Ambon.

This visit is part of his agenda as a presidential envoy. Previously, Raffi has conducted similar visits to various developing cities across Indonesia, aiming to foster a robust creative industry ecosystem outside major urban centers. "We intentionally visit second cities rather than large cities because there is still significant potential for development here," remarked the owner of RANS Entertainment.

During the meeting, several young individuals from Ambon took turns expressing their aspirations, needs, and the challenges faced by local artists in Maluku. Raffi emphasized the importance of collaboration and networking, both with the government and the private sector. "You all need to understand that communities must be united. No one succeeds alone; everyone must come together," he asserted.

He also recognized that the creative industry in Ambon requires additional support and the role of a facilitator, which he is willing to undertake by acting as a bridge between the community and the relevant ministries. Raffi encouraged young creative professionals in Ambon to adopt collaborative business models like RANS Entertainment, which he believes serves not only as entertainment but also as a large platform for various creative ventures.
