The Budget Committee of the Indonesian House of Representatives convened a working meeting with seven coordinating ministers from the Red and White Cabinet at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday, December 2, 2024, to discuss the budget work plan for the 2025 State Budget Draft. The Chairman of the Budget Committee, Said Abdullah, stated that they would fully support the budget work plan to facilitate coordination and synchronization among ministries and agencies, ensuring effective implementation, particularly within the first 100 days of the government. "This includes programs for free nutritious meals, free health check-ups, school renovations, and the establishment of national, regional, and village food barns," Said remarked while opening the meeting, as reported by Antara on Monday.

The seven coordinating ministers present at this working meeting included Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Economic Affairs; Budi Gunawan, Minister of Political and Security Affairs; Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Minister of Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Society; and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development. Additionally, Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Food Affairs; Pratikno, Minister of Human Development and Culture; and Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Community Empowerment, were also in attendance.

The following budget allocations have been designated for the Coordinating Ministries:

The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs is allocated IDR 268.28 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections receives IDR 9.03 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs is allocated IDR 456.76 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is designated IDR 345.5 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development receives IDR 230 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment is allocated IDR 139.73 billion, and the Coordinating Ministry for Food is designated IDR 44.09 billion.

In principle, it was stated that the budget ceiling for each coordinating ministry will be approved by the House of Representatives (DPR). However, the DPR will consider the necessary requirements for work programs. "We also request approval for any increases to the existing budget ceilings from the Coordinating Ministers, which we can approve without further meetings," he stated.
