President Prabowo Subianto is set to inaugurate the leaders and the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the 2024-2029 term today. The ceremony will take place at the State Palace this afternoon. This information was confirmed by one of the selected KPK leaders, Fitroh Rohcahyanto. "Yes, that is correct," he stated when contacted on Monday, December 16, 2024. Another elected KPK leader, Johanis Tanak, also affirmed the inauguration plans, indicating that the event will occur this afternoon. "Yes, at 1:30 PM WIB," he remarked. It is known that Commission III of the House of Representatives has selected and approved the leaders and the Supervisory Board of the KPK for the 2024-2029 term. This selection followed a series of processes, including administrative screening and fit and proper tests conducted by the House. Setyo Budiyanto will assume the role of Chairman of the KPK for the next five years. The following are the five elected KPK leaders: 1. Setyo Budiyanto (Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture) 2. Fitroh Rohcahyanto (former Director of Prosecution at KPK) 3. Ibnu Basuki Widodo (judge at the Manado High Court) 4. Johanis Tanak (Deputy Chairman of KPK for the 2019-2024 term) 5. Agus Joko Pramono (Deputy Chairman of BPK for the 2019-2023 term) Commission III of the House of Representatives has also selected five individuals to serve as members of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the KPK for the 2024-2029 term. These five members come from backgrounds including prosecutors, judges, and the private sector. The selected Dewas members will be submitted to the President for the appointment of the Chairman of the Dewas. The following are the five elected members of the KPK Supervisory Board: 1.
