Prabowo's Stimulus Policy Considered To Have A Positive Impact Ahead Of Eid

Friday, 14 Mar 2025

Online motorcycle taxi drivers or ojol and couriers will receive a 2025 Eid al-Fitr Eid Bonus (BHR) from the application company. The BHR is considered positive for increasing people's purchasing power ahead of Eid

Academic at Binus University, Doddy Ariefianto analyzed a number of political steps taken by President Prabowo Subianto in issuing stimulus policies ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2025. This, coupled with the BHR for ojol and online couriers, has a positive impact ahead of Eid.

For him, this stimulus policy by the government deserves to be appreciated. He said the seven stimulus policies during Ramadan ahead of Eid are optimizing the distribution of social assistance, discounts on airline tickets, discounts on toll road rates, and shopping discounts.

Then, the Eid homecoming tourism program, stabilization of food prices, disbursement of THR for ASN and private workers.

"This policy needs to be appreciated because it will boost public consumption," said Doddy as quoted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Doddy assessed that the policy could provide great benefits to the community. This is because, during the Eid holiday, people usually routinely return to their hometowns so that purchasing power will be spread to the regions.

"This policy has a large multiplier benefit considering that people will use their purchasing power in the regions (going home). It has an equalizing impact," explained Doddy.

He also predicted that Indonesia's economic growth in the first semester could reach 5.2%. "Indonesia's economic growth in Semester 1 2025 is estimated at 5.2%, while the full year 2025 is 5.5%," explained Doddy.

Furthermore, he said that economic growth has increased from 2024 which was 5%. "Last year (2024) economic growth was 5%. So, yes, there is a slight increase," said Doddy.
