Prabowo Gathers Ministers Of Economy To Discuss 21 Downstream Projects Decided By Jokowi

President Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of economic ministers to discuss 21 downstream projects. The discussion took place in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java on Sunday (16/3/2025). The economic ministers who attended included Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment and Downstream who is also the Head of the Danantara Investment Management Agency Rosan P Roeslani, Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Sakti Waktu Trenggono and Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono. According to ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, the ministers were invited by Prabowo to discuss the follow-up to the 21 downstream projects that had previously been decided during the administration of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. "We held a downstream meeting regarding the follow-up to the previous presidential decree regarding 21 projects that will be implemented," said Bahlil as reported by the Presidential Secretariat YouTube broadcast, Monday (17/3/2025). "Alhamdulillah, we also held a coordination meeting with all technical ministries, we will prepare there," he continued. Bahlil said that Prabowo gave direction regarding downstream projects that must later pay attention to the number of workers or labor-intensive. In addition, the President also wants downstreaming to focus on import substitution industries. "In addition, the President also directed us that its implementation must be truly professional with high economic value," said Bahlil. Prabowo also requested that downstream investment not only focus on one island. Downstreaming is said to have to spread to Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku to Papua. The goal is for economic spread to occur and become an instrument for driving economic growth. 

Danantara management also attended the meeting 

The meeting on Sunday was also attended by Danantara management. In addition to Rosan Roeslani, Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria and Danantara Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir were also present. Rosan said, Danantara management was present to inventory a number of downstream projects. "Both in minerals, coal and also aquaculture and also agriculture and plantations. Together with related parties we analyze all," said Rosan.
