President Prabowo Subianto met with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Friday, December 6, 2024. The two leaders gathered for a dinner meeting characterized by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In a statement to the media, President Prabowo indicated that this meeting was a reciprocal invitation to President Jokowi. Previously, President Prabowo had visited the 7th President's residence in Solo, Central Java, in November. "I heard that Mr. Jokowi was in Jakarta, so I invited him for dinner. I had visited his home in Solo, and now I am inviting him to Kertanegara," he remarked. The Head of State emphasized that there was no specific agenda for the evening beyond the dinner itself. President Prabowo also mentioned that the dinner featured a variety of dishes, including fried chicken. "We had dinner, fried chicken, and various other dishes," he added. In agreement, the 7th President Jokowi expressed that this meeting was a form of camaraderie with President Prabowo. The occasion reinforced the strong relationship between the two national figures. "When President Prabowo visited Merauke and then stopped by Solo, I thought this was a kind of reciprocal visit since I missed him," he stated. The warm atmosphere during the dinner gathering highlighted the commitment of both President Prabowo and President Jokowi to maintain friendship and national unity.
