The President Has Once Again Reminded The Ministers To Enhance Their Public Communication

President Prabowo Subianto, during a limited meeting with several of his ministers at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, reiterated the importance of enhancing government communication with the public. 

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono conveyed the President's message after the meeting, which took place on the afternoon of March 24.  

"The government is open to criticism; however, it is essential to construct a narrative that is well-founded. We must avoid allowing people to form assumptions based on incomplete information. If they receive fragmented news, it could lead to negative assumptions, which is undesirable," Sudaryono stated in response to a journalist's inquiry. 

He further noted that the government has achieved numerous accomplishments over the past five months, particularly in the agricultural sector, including the availability of fertilizer for farmers, a surplus of rice, and fair prices for paddy. 

"While other countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, and Japan are currently facing a rice crisis, we are experiencing the same El Niño and La Niña phenomena, yet we find ourselves in a much safer position compared to them. This is a positive aspect that needs to be communicated effectively," Sudaryono emphasized. 

He also mentioned that he regularly engages with the community to directly understand the needs of the people, especially farmers. In recent days, he has visited various regions in North Sumatra and Yogyakarta, specifically Kulon Progo and Bantul, as well as Palembang in South Sumatra. From these visits, Sudaryono reported receiving positive feedback from farmers who feel supported due to adequate fertilizer supplies and fair paddy prices. 

"They are all pleased, and I must convey that this is indeed true and tangible," Sudaryono concluded.
