Monday, 14 Apr 2025

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the Antalya Diplomatic Forum (ADF) meeting in Antalya City, Turkey, Friday (11/4).

Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana when met by reporters in Ankara, Turkey, Wednesday (9/4) evening local time, explained that the President will fly to Antalya after completing his agenda in Ankara, Thursday.

"The President is scheduled to attend the ADF. The ADF is the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. The forum will be held in Antalya," said Yusuf Permana.

President Prabowo's two main agendas in Ankara are scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon, starting with a speech at the Turkish parliament building, then a state visit to the Turkish Presidential Palace.

The state visit is planned to start at 15:30 Ankara time — 4 hours later than Jakarta time.

From Ankara, the President then continued his series of visits to Antalya, Turkey, to fulfill the invitation of Turkish President Reccep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

President Erdogan is also scheduled to fly to Antalya City to open ADF 2025 and give an opening speech, Friday.

"There, I will consult with him (President Erdogan, ed.) about several things, geopolitics, geoeconomics, industrial cooperation, trade, education, and culture," said President Prabowo at a press conference before flying out of Jakarta, Wednesday (9/4) early morning.

The Antalya Diplomatic Forum is a high-level panel discussion forum that brings together state leaders from various regions in the world to sit together to discuss various global challenges and opportunities for forging cooperation. The forum was held for the first time in 2021, and has become an annual agenda that is routinely held in Türkiye.

Several issues raised in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2025 include the humanitarian crisis due to the Israeli military genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, then the Russia-Ukraine war, global geopolitical and geoeconomic dynamics, climate change challenges, security challenges, and other issues.

At the event location, on the sidelines of this year's ADF series, foreign ministers from Muslim countries are also scheduled to gather and discuss solutions to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In Antalya City, President Prabowo was accompanied by two of his trusted aides, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

From Antalya, Turkey, President Prabowo is planned to continue flying to Cairo, Egypt to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday (12/4). Then, the President continued his visit to Doha, Qatar, and closed by flying to Amman, Jordan.
