Prabowo And King Abdullah Sign Four Significant Collaborations In Jordan

President Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan have signed four strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between Indonesia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The signing took place at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Monday, April 14, 2025. 

In a spirited atmosphere, this moment represents a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations and expanding tangible cooperation that will have a direct impact on the citizens of both nations. 

These agreements reflect a shared commitment to fostering regional stability and sustainable development. The four areas of strategic cooperation signed include: 

1. Defense Cooperation   

   Signed by Indonesia's Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi. 

2. Agricultural Cooperation   

   Signed by Indonesia's Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, and Jordan's Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Huneifat. 

3. Educational Cooperation   

   Involving Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs and Jordan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, signed by Indonesia's Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, and Jordan's Minister of Higher Education, Azmi Mahafzah. 

4. Religious and Waqf Cooperation   

   Signed by Indonesia's Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, and Jordan's Minister of Waqf, Mohammad Khalaileh. 

This signing marks a reinforcement of the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Jordan, as facilitated by President Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah, not only enhancing bilateral relations but also contributing actively to peace, regional stability, and global progress.
