The PPP Has Issued A Decree Endorsing Nine Candidates For The Upcoming Elections In NTB

The United Development Party (PPP) has officially presented letters of support (SK) to nine candidates vying for regional head positions in the upcoming 2024 simultaneous regional elections in West Nusa Tenggara. Muzihir, the Chairman of the DPW PPP NTB, stated that the B1KWK support letters were personally delivered by PPP Deputy Chairperson Ermalena to each candidate, encompassing both provincial and district/city regional head positions. "Alhamdulillah, we have completed the handover. The only exception is Central Lombok Regency, as there has been a change in the deputy," he remarked in Mataram on Monday. He further noted that the NTB regional head election has been assigned to the gubernatorial candidate pair of Lalu Muhamad Iqbal and Indah Damayanti Putri (Iqbal-Dinda). The election for Mataram City has been designated to the mayoral candidate pair of Lalu Aria Darma and Lalu Weis Alqurnain, while the Dompu election has been allocated to the regent and deputy regent candidate pair of Bambang Firdaus and Syirajuddin. Additionally, the North Lombok election has been assigned to the candidate pair for regent and vice regent, Najmul Akhyar and Kusmalahadi Syamsuri.

In the West Lombok election, the candidates for regent and deputy regent, Nurhidayah and Imam Kafali, were selected. The East Lombok election was awarded to the duo of Haerul Warisin and Edwin Hadiwijaya. Additionally, the Sumbawa election was assigned to the candidates Dewi Noviany and Talifuddin for the positions of regent and deputy regent. In the West Sumbawa Regency election, the candidates Amar Nurmansyah and Hanifah were chosen. Muzihir stated that following the issuance of the B1-KWK decree, his party has urged all candidates to enhance their consolidation efforts and engage with the community. He has also directed all administrators and party members to unite in support of the candidates endorsed by the party, which is represented by the Ka'bah symbol. "It is imperative for PPP members and sympathizers at the grassroots level to ensure the success of our chosen candidates," Muzihir emphasized. Furthermore, regarding the Central Lombok Regency Pilkada, his party has set a deadline of August 15 for candidate Ruslan Turmuzi to secure a running mate. Should this not occur, the DPW will assume control.

The Deputy Chairman of the NTB DPRD stated, "We have contacted the regent candidate, Ruslan Turmuzi, and have set a deadline until Thursday, August 15, for him to secure a deputy. Should he fail to do so, we will assume control and reorganize to determine our direction and whom we will support." In relation to the claim that the PPP did not endorse its own members for the East Lombok Pilkada, Muzihir categorically refuted this assertion. He explained that the party has granted special privileges for the East Lombok Pilkada due to the candidacy of TGH Hazmi Hamzar, a party cadre. "From the outset of the registration process, we have accorded him the highest priority among all candidates because he is one of our own. We even issued a letter of assignment and allowed ample time for the concerned parties, as well as their partners. In fact, we will continue to provide time until August 25, prior to registration, to see if we can secure political parties and partners; if so, we will retract the B1-KWK that has been issued to the couples we have endorsed," he elaborated.
