President Prabowo inaugurated the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) at the Indonesia Arena within the Gelora Bung Karno Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was joined by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, and the event also saw the presence of various ministers and party officials. During the event, thousands of GSN members expressed their commitment to support President Prabowo Subianto. They vowed to assist the government in executing development initiatives in a critical, objective, constructive, and productive way to find effective solutions. The concept for GSN originated from a suggestion to transform the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) into a community organization. This idea was proposed by Prabowo Subianto during a breaking of fast gathering with the TKN on March 25, 2024. The GSN aims to encompass individuals from diverse races, religions, regions, and backgrounds, fostering connections that will endure beyond the election period. At that gathering, Prabowo also revealed that Rosan Roeslani, the head of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, would take the lead in the National Solidarity Movement. The GSN's vision is to bring together all Indonesian citizens, focusing on collecting and transforming significant ideas into tangible solutions for the community and the advancement of the nation. GSN's primary goal is to develop resolutions that can be adopted by the government, either with its backing or through GSN's own means. As for the term National Solidarity Movement, Rosan clarified that National Solidarity is more than just a pair of words; it represents a unified concept. National Solidarity goes beyond just post-election reconciliation; it emphasizes collaboration for the greater good of Indonesia.
