Simon Aloysius Mantiri Appointed As CEO Of Pertamina

On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) made changes to the leadership structure of PT Pertamina (Persero) during a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS). This change involves the appointment of a new President Director and Board of Commissioners who will guide Pertamina in the future. 

The decisions from the GMS, documented in SK-258/MBU/11/2024 and SK-259/MBU/11/2024 regarding the dismissal and appointment of members of the Board of Commissioners and Directors of PT Pertamina (Persero), have appointed Mochamad Iriawan as the President Commissioner, Dony Oskaria as the Vice President Commissioner, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani as an Independent Commissioner, and Simon Aloysius Mantiri as the President Director of Pertamina. 

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), explained that the appointment and dismissal of directors and commissioners in state-owned enterprises, including Pertamina, fall under the authority of the government, represented by the Minister of BUMN. 

"Leadership changes in the company are a normal and expected process as per existing regulations," Fadjar stated.

In the newly appointed Board of Commissioners, Mochamad Iriawan now serves as the President Commissioner of Pertamina. He is a retired high-ranking officer of the Indonesian National Police, having most recently held the position of Secretary General of the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANAS). Dony Oskaria, who is currently the Vice President Commissioner of Pertamina, also serves as the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. Meanwhile, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, serving as an Independent Commissioner for Pertamina, previously held the role of Chairperson of the Trisakti University Oil and Gas Alumni Association.

At the same time, Pertamina expressed its gratitude to Ms. Nicke Widyawati and Mr. Ahmad Fikri Assegaf for their service as the President Director and Independent Commissioner of Pertamina, respectively. 

"We extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to Ms. Nicke and Mr. Fikri for leading Pertamina to achieve outstanding performance in recent years," concluded Fadjar.
