The CICPE Event Illustrates A Future World Driven By Technology

Thursday, 17 Apr 2025

The seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into daily life is the focal point of the fifth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) currently taking place in Haikou, southern China, painting a vivid picture of a smarter and more connected future.

Running from April 13 to 18, this year's CICPE features, for the first time, a dedicated exhibition zone for pioneering innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and the low-altitude economy.

Tech giants such as Huawei and China Mobile are showcasing a range of futuristic solutions. Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem demonstrates cross-device synergy among "users, vehicles, and homes," equipped with AI-based eye-tracking technology that allows for hands-free reading of digital books.

China Mobile's smart home ecosystem includes four-legged companion robots designed for elderly care and AI-based home security systems.

"AI is accelerating its integration into everyday scenarios. This exhibition undoubtedly serves as a premier platform to showcase these advancements," stated Zhan Wenyu, Vice President of AI company iFLYTEK, who has participated in the CICPE for five consecutive years.

The dedicated AI zone at the expo features humanoid robots capable of performing complex tasks, such as dancing in traditional brocade costumes of the local Li ethnic group or handling fragile items.

Tesla's latest humanoid robot showcases enhanced mobility and tactile sensitivity, while the Ti5 Robot demonstrates breakthroughs in electric drive technology with lightweight connection modules and agile, intelligent robotic hands.
